Plastic Dreams

Do I look like a rapist?

If I walk the same path

Too often,

Too alone.

Two lines crossing:

Predator and prey,

Heads or tails.

Always one,

Never another.

Do I look like a danger?

When wearing this skin

Of oppressor,

Of tyrant.

Off to the market;

Replace our parts

With plastic

Dreams, bitter pills

To swallow.

Can we remake ourselves?

Swap cells for CPU

And wires,

And respect.

Androgynous acceptance:

Substitute division;

Human revision.

Universal adaptor,

Hooked up.

What else can we do?

Agree to disagree.

Never meet,

Never mercy.

Forever at odds;

Opposition reflected.

A battle of rock

And a place so

Hard.
